This is my First Time Moving and Needing Storage. What can I Expect?

Moving can be tedious and frustrating, but at StorAmerica Management we believe it doesn't have to be! When visiting any property, you can go on a tour to be shown various units and to find a suitable sized unit for your needs. During the tour, we will go over the facility's amenities and other pertinent information to make your transition as smooth as possible.

I Need a Storage Unit Right Away; What do I Need to do?

Visit one of our locations, bringing with you a valid form of ID and payment, and be prepared to fill out a few documents. Then relax! We'll take it from here to make the process easy for you.

Am I obligated to keep my storage unit for a certain amount of time?

Luckily, our leases run month-to-month, so you'll only have to pay for the time you need!

Do you have push carts and dollies I can use on my moving day?

Most of our facilities have carts and dollies that are free to use during your busy day.

Does StorAmerica Management provide movers to help me on my moving day?

Unfortunately, we do not provide moving services. However, many of our facilities have references and business cards inside the office, so ask the manager to get a recommendation.

Can I have packages sent to the office?

Absolutely. Please contact your facility's property managers for any questions regarding delivery acceptance.

When is my rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of every month based on your lease agreement. You can make a payment in person in the office, by mail, by phone, or by using our online payment system.

Effective July 1, 2021, we will no longer accept cash payments; only credit/debit card, personal check, cashier's check, or money order will be accepted. If you experience hardship in making your payment by a method other than cash, please inform Site Staff and they will assess the matter.

What type of credit cards do you accept?

We accept Discover, MasterCard, and Visa at most locations. Please verify with your property of choice as to which specific credit cards are accepted at your location.

Can I pay my bill online?

You sure can! Ask us about enrolling in our online payment system so you can pay your bill from the comfort of home.

We can retrieve your gate access code with our computer software when you provide a valid driver's license (or alternative identification). Individuals who are authorized for access may also receive the gate access code upon verification of a proper ID.

Can I change my gate access code?

Yes. We can change your gate access code at any time. The tenant on file must come into the office in person and present a valid ID before the property manager will assist you.

What happens if I lose the key to my lock?

Unfortunately, we do not provide lock removal services at our facilities. The tenant on file will have to arrange for a locksmith. Both the tenant and one of our staff members will need to sign the lock removal release form and then witness the lock removal. The tenant must also have an approved replacement lock ready immediately. Locks can be purchased in our offices.

What is the process for cancelling my storage unit and how much notice is required?

We no longer require advance notice in order to vacate, but we do appreciate any notice as a courtesy. We can prorate your payment up to the move-out date, but not beyond the 10th of each month.

The payment must be received on or before the standard due date. Tenants are subject to pay the full month plus the late fee and any other fees accrued when vacating after the 10th of the month.

Due to liability, we do not provide electrical outlets for tenant use.

Can I have someone else vacate my space without my presence?
